2013
was a washout for me! Early in the year I broke my arm and was unable
to open the garden as usual in May. It was a spiral fracture - rather
nasty and it took nearly a year before I was able to fully garden
again. By way of reintegrating into looking after the garden I created a
new area of flowers ("the embankment") suited to insect life,
especially butterflies. This has come into its own now in 2014 - the
picture above shows how it looks today.
Now the blog is up and running again, I'll really try to keep it up to date. So far this year I've had 30 visitors and I'm hoping for many more once the school holidays begin.
